Buffalo, NY – EWI is pleased to announce that Francisco Medina, Jr. Ph.D., a leading edge expert in additive manufacturing (AM), will join the growing team at Buffalo Manufacturing Works as Principal Engineer. Medina comes to Buffalo from Arcam, where he was managing its North America relationships and R&D activities at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Prior to his work with Arcam, Medina was Center Manager for the University of Texas at El Paso W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation which explores material extrusion, binder jetting, and powder bed fusion processes.

Medina earned his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), a leading multi-disciplinary engineering program.
