EWI Debuts Online Training in Welding Metallurgy and NDT
EWI is pleased to introduce two new online training courses, Welding Metallurgy and Fundamentals of Nondestructive Testing. These web-based, self-paced courses are geared toward manufacturing engineers, technicians, and managers, and both offer the opportunity to earn professional development hour (PDH) credits.
Welding Metallurgy provides an overview of 1) physical metallurgy, 2) welding metallurgy of steel, and 3) welding metallurgy of stainless steels. Each of these three sections can be completed individually as micro-courses or taken as one comprehensive course.
Fundamentals of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) introduces students to three common nondestructive evaluation technologies – surface inspection, radiography, and ultrasonics. The course covers applications, advantages, limitations, and best practices in NDT.
